Common Questions

Explore Our Frequently Asked Questions

What is Electric Brake Controller?

This is a device that is connected inside the vehicle. The device communicates to the trailer the necessary amount to apply to the trailer brakes when the vehicles brakes are applied. You can check your vehicles owner manual to determine if your vehicle is equipped with an Electronic Brake Controller.

Do you deliver?

Not at this time.

Is there restrictions where I can take the rental?

No. We allow our trailers to be taken anywhere within the United States.

What is the pick-up and return procedure?

Failure to arrive on time for pick up can result in a late fee. Renter is advised to call ahead to avoid late fee. No call and 30 minutes late for pick up or return will result in a $25 late fee. No call and 45 minutes late for pick up will result in cancellation and loss of payment for rental. No call and 45 minutes late for return will result in being billed an additional day. No after hour returns! We require Hauling Rentals to do a proper check-in and inspection of returning equipment for damages.

What are useful tips for towing?
  • Use a spotter to help when backing a trailer
  • Trailers should never be towed more than 65 MPH
  • Make sure to raise the jack completely to avoid damage
  • Make wider turns at corners and/or curves to accommodate the trailer you are towing
  • Check the trailer tire pressure
  • During stops, always check the coupler to ensure it is still seated on the hitch ball and in the latched position with latch pin present. Check the trailer connector to ensure it is completely inserted in the 7-way socket. Ensure safety chains are to the vehicle correctly.
What if I damage the trailer?

Please contact us immediately if damage occurs during your rental. Upon return of your rental, the trailer will go through our return inspection process. We will assess the damages and will discuss with you at this time. Pictures are taken at pick-up and upon return to ensure you are not held responsible for damage that you did not cause. If damage has occurred, we will contact our insurance adjuster for an estimate of damages. Your security deposit will be held until cost of damage & repairs is discussed and agreed upon.
